The past twelve months have seen major changes to the Rūnanga, with the change of chairmanship, the finalising of some major ongoing issues and the most challenging economic conditions since the Great Depression. The Rūnanga has continued to perform solidly delivering a range of new and existing services to ngā uri o ngā hapū o Ngāti Awa.
We are happy to bring you a new refreshed web site which will undergo refinement and expansion over the next year. The current site aims to give you surface level information on the governance structure, operational entities within the Rūnanga, key documents for the Rūnanga, staff profiles, panui and a calendar of Rūnanga hui.
A new feature is the link to hapū websites, which are part of the Marae Toolkit from Development Ngāti Awa. These sites are managed by the hapū themselves and are a valuable asset to the Rūnanga, they highlight activities at the ground roots level.
We retain our connection with Te Tohu o Te Ora o Ngāti Awa NASH, Te Whare Wananga o Awanuiārangi and Te Reo Irirangi ō Te Mānuka Tūtahi, which can all be view via the LINKS BUTTON.
