I've had the pleasure of working within the Rūnanga since 1995 after starting on the Ngāti Awa computer course.  My main employment previous to that was in the banking industry.  I feel privileged to have been involved with some of the strongest supporters/leaders, of Ngāti Awa, leading up to the Settlement in 2005 and beyond that.  Some of whom have since passed on but who had strong characters that I remember with fondness.

The most important thing to me is whānau.  My father Kina was born in Whakarae, Waimana and my mother Delia emigrated from England.  They raised my three sisters and I with strong work ethics and I hope that I have brought these qualities to my work.  I have two daughters Jenny and Ngaire and three mokopuna.

I strongly believe in setting goals both personally and professionally.  But without good teamwork it can be very hard to achieve good results.  I have enjoyed working for the Ngāti Awa team and it has been great to witness what the Rūnanga has achieved over the years.
